Well its been a few days since my last posting,drove to Victoria,wanted to go whale watching but the weather was awful ,rain and seas up to 15ft,decided i didn't want to puke my guts out for 4 hours.Took ferry from Departure Bay to Vancouver.Don't know what I am going to do my funds are running out as my van broke down and it cost me $1200 to fix,blew the radiator and needed to replace my front brakes,passenger side was smoking coming down one steep mountain,it seized and took 3 hours to cool down,will try to reach Dawson City its about 2500km.Visited Barkerville the site of a major gold find in the late 1800,the town has some original buildings and everyone that works there is dressed in period costumes. Tomorrow I head north...Dad
Wow! That's too bad that you had so many problems with your van!!!! Glad to hear that you are having a good time though and that you are seeing so many places and things!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your van and the cost to fix it. Maybe you should find yourself a casino... since you have such good luck! Just kidding! Dawson City is the place you've wanted to see for a long time... take your time and enjoy your journey... supposedly (from what I heard on a CBC program), it's all about the rationale... as hard as the journey may be, it's the memories you'll make and have with you for always... Hopefully your pension cheque will come in soon! Bren
