Nelson and GPS shortcut#%$%#%

Went to Nelson today where I meet with Darrin we had lunch and talked about old times,he is no longer the tall skinny person we remember if you get my drift. His wife was working and the kids in school I was sorry I couldn't meet them.the kids that is. Left Nelson around 2pm my GPS decided to have me turn off the main road and take a shortcut, the two lane dirt road turned into a one lane logging road through the middle of nowhere, the road deteriorated so bad the the were small land slides across the road, several times i stopped and removed boulders so i could get by,I took the wrong fork in the road and ended up blocked by a tree across the road, ready to panic i trusted the GPS it found another way on an even worse road at one point the road was half washed away luckily there was enough left for my van to get through although i was worried the bank would collapse and i would end up rolling down the cliff to the river below,I would of stopped and taken a picture but i was trying hard not to fill my pants. As the road ahead looked even worse,i kept going for a total of 48km at a speed of 5 to 10 km per hour. Finally the GPS found the paved road that led to Kelowana....I was never so glad to see a paved road in my life, the next time the GPS turns me off the highway I will keep going....O by the way as I entered Kelowana I came across a truck I had passed 2 hours earlier before my so called short cut. Will post at next internet site.

  1. OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was quite a trip your GPS took you on! I'm glad you made it to Kelowna in one piece... what an interesting and funny story (for me)... I would have been a wreck for sure, if I had of found myself in that situation! Glad you're safe and sound!
